TG SERIES

TGRID® TG SERIES (BI-AXIAL GEOGRIDS)

TGRID® TG Series Bi-axial Geogrids have square apertures and manufactured from polypropylene (PP). They are widely used as subsoil reinforcement. Their main characteristics are excellent mechanical properties under intermittent high loads. The bi-axial geogrid strength is equal in both machine and cross directions. As granular materials are compacted into the apertures of the TGRID® an interlocking effect is achieved. The stiffness of TGRID® allows for high loads at low strain. Ultimately highway design relies more on economic solutions which TGRID® provides, allowing for up to an estimated 50% reduction in granular materials with no loss of performance.

APPLICATIONS

UNPAVED AREAS

Construction of Haul Roads, Storage Yards, Mining Operations, Logging Roads, Energy Exploration (Oil and Gas), Working Platforms and Wind Farms etc.

Advantages

  • Substantial Reduction in Layer Thickness*
  • Ease of Construction
  • Reduced over-excavation and disposal of poor quality soils.
  • Reduced construction time
  • Elimination of most environmental issues associated with chemical stabilization of poor quality sub-base materials.

PAVED AREAS

Roadways, Airport Runways and Aprons, Parking Areas, Dock Unloading Areas, Railway Track Beds etc

Advantages

  • Substantial Reduction in Aggregate Thickness*
  • Added reinforcement at the subgrade or base interface**
  • Extended service life of pavement due to improved support of the roadway structural section
  • An improvement in bearing capacity of the subgrade to due pressure dissipation at the geogrid-subgrade interface.
